Reconfigured Mash Tun

Now that the weather is still too HOT to ferment, we have to opportunity to do a little work on our home brew equipment. We added a new braided stainless strainer tube to our "cooler conversion" mash tun. This one is much bigger and more sturdy so we are hoping it will drain faster and not cake up during the end of the transfer of the wort into the brew pot. I'm still working on a temperature control solution for fermentation so as soon as I get that resolve, we will commence brewing again. Either that or the hot weather will subside! In the meantime, we are gearing up to brew the next generation Bacon Beer "Smoked Mable Bacon Brown"! I redesigned the recipe from the ground up! Can't wait to brew it! In the meantime, The Irsh Red is almost ready and the Cream Ale will be on our tap this week. Looking forward to sampling them both!
